The movement that I am interested in the most is Civil Rights. I am interested in this movement the most because I want to learn more about our Civil Rights and activists who fought for Civil Rights. The activist that I am interested in most is Malcolm X. I am interested in this activist because I have never really heard of him and would like to learn more about Malcolm and who he was. Some questions I have for this movement are: What failures happened during this movement? Did the president do all in his power to support this movement? My final question for this movement is: How and why did activists become activists for this movements? What made them want to stand up? Other additional activists I would like to research are: Bayard Rustin, Ella Baker, Roy Wilkins, the last activist I would like to research for Civil Rights is, Ralph Abernanthy.

I am most interested in researching the Environmental Movement. I am Interested in researching this because I care about our planet and I want it to be the best it can be. I also care about all the nature on earth and I know that this movement tries their best to protect it from harm. I am most interested in researching the activist, Rachel Carson. I am interested in reading about her because she took a stand against pesticides on our planet that was harming animals, insects, plants, and many more aspects of life on our planet. Some questions I have about Rachel Carson are, What got Rachel into studying the environment? Why was the environment so important to Rachel? What was her change that came about because of what she did? I might also be interested in researching Greta Thunberg. I would want to research her because she has taken a big stand against global warming, and is trying to make a difference for our future here on earth.

While doing our gallery walk and reading the books today, I have learned about many activists. While looking at the posters I was able to find people and movements that I am interested in. I know that I am most interested in the topic of women's rights. I think that I am most interested in it because I see people around me struggle with it most. In addition, I think that me being a woman/girl myself I want to learn about what people are trying to do to change our world for the better. Currently, I am most interested in going into deeper research of Madam C.J. Walker, Ruth Bader Ginsburg (RBG), and Betty White. I still have many questions about women's rights and the activists surrounding it. For example, I would like to know how Madam C.J. Walker was able to open her business and make products with her small income. I also wonder if there has been any major protest for women's rights recently. I am very interested in Madam C.J. Walker and Ruth Ginsburg. Neither of them had posters (as far as I could see). I think that they both did a very important thing, even though the way they helped women is different. Overall, I know that I am excited to learn about Women's Rights and some of the important women helping change society.

The movement im most interested in researching is animal rights. This is because my mom is an ornithologist and she taught me to love all animals. The activist im most interested in learning about is Jane Goodal. This is because my mom saw her speak a few years ago and said that she was very inspirational. I also read a book about her a couple years ago and it was very interesting. One of the questions I still have about her is how did she get into studying chimpanzees? Another question I have is when did she realize that this is what she wanted to do with her life? My last question is how did she help the chimpanzees? Did she travel or did she just stay at home while raising awareness? Another activist I might want to research is Dian Fossey. She seems like a very riveting person to research.

After the gallery walk I saw many different social activists. Some topics that I am very interested in are LQBTQ+ rights, women's rights, and children's rights to go to school because I feel like everyone should be equal and not discriminated by their gender and sexual preferences. I also feel like that every kid should be offered the same education even if they don’t have a lot of money. One activist i am most interested in is Emma Watson because she fights for women’s rights and educational rights. One question I have is why she become an activist? Another question I have is why did she chose these specific movements? Lastly, I want to know if she has done any fundraisers to build a free school for less fortunate people? One other person I might be interested in researching is Michelle Obama because she was a great role model for women and she is an activist for poverty awareness, education, nutrition, physical activity, and healthy eating.

I’m most interested in the “Me Too” movement because it goes along with woman rights and I also see short films all over youtube trying to raise awareness for sexual abuse that some woman and even kids go through. I am most interested in Laura Bates. This is because she is also associated with the “Me Too” movement. She also has a very interesting back story and what happened during she was protesting about sexual abuse. A question I have about this movement is how popular is this movement? Also, who started this movement? Another question I have is what celebrities are associated with this movement? An additional activist I might want to research is Alessia Cara. This is because she inspires so many woman and men in her song writing. One of her songs “Scars To Your Beautiful” is just basically telling people that they are beautiful. It's meaning is that you shouldn't have to change yourself. The world should change. You are beautiful just the way you are. It is saying that we all have scars, but that is what makes us beautiful and unique to ourselves.

I am most interested in doing the me too movement because I think it is really important that we talk about this movement because it empowers women through empathy. The activist I’m interested in researching is Tarana Burke because she is one of the people who helped start the movement. I really just don’t know to much about her as a person so I’m really excited to learn about her. Some other activists that I might be interested in researching are DeRay Mckesson who is a police brutality activist or Rose Mcgowan who is part of the me too movement another activist is Susan B. Anthony because she was really the first women's rights activist. The reason why I’m also interested in the police brutality is because I have read many books about it and each different situation really makes a person think. The gender equality movement is also important because it is intrinsically linked to sustainable development and is vital to the realization of human rights for all.

I am most interested in the movement of police brutality because I believe people should be treated equally, no matter what race they are, in the justice system. Over the years, many people of color have been attacked and racially profiled. Many police have been acquitted for their wrong doing. And that is starting to become a problem. Right now I am mostly interested in researching Rodney King. He has been through a police brutality act himself. He spoke out about how he got attacked by the police, but they got off the hook. If this Rodney was still alive, I’d probably ask him about what it is like to be attacked by the police, would you forgive the officers, how did it feel to be in the center of riots based on his attack? Other additional police brutality activist I might want to research Samuel Sinyangwe.

I am most interested in the Gender Equality movement because in some ways this movement is still relevant today. Gender Equality is something that people can still fight for, and has not been talked about enough, even now. I believe that females, males, and people that don’t classify as either of those should be treated equally no matter the circumstances. Men and women both deserve the same amount of respect and value.

Based on the gallery walk we took on Thursday, the movement I am most passionate about researching is racial discrmination. This is because I believe that racial discrmination is a huge part in our history and that it just can’t be ignored but heard. The next generations should hear about this movement so they make sure it never happens again. I want to research Althea Gibson. Althea is an African American tennis and golf player. She was the first black player to go to the US Open, and broke the color barrier. Without Althea the Williams sisters who our big modern role models might not of ever picked up a tennis racket. Some questions I have about Althea... who inspired her to play tennis? What was the hardest challenge about being a black tennis player? Where her components mean to her because of her color? I am also interested in Emma Watson because she is a modern day powerful voice.

I am most interested in researching human rights. I would like to research human rights especially during WWII because it was a horrific time. But, there were some amazingly true, yet minimally told stories. These are what I would like to find. One example was Arxigos Ioannis Metaxas. During the Italian invasion of Greece, and the rounding up of Jews, Metaxas, the sitting Prime Minister at the time, refused to give any names to Italy except for his own, and one other government official. I want to research him because this is what I consider the epitome of the little-told stories. I do have a few questions. Such as, why did he do what he did? Was there an experience of some sort? Was the start of Oxi Day and the name of Metaxa because of him? I would also be interested in researching Marian Anderson. She was the first singer who performed in front of an audience with an integrated seating arrangement in Constitution Hall. It was because of her that the seats were like this.

I am most interested in searching up is animal rights. Animals cannot speak, so we must be the voice for the voiceless. Animals are getting killed for no reason other than humans making money. It’s not fair for them, because they don’t try to harm us unless we harm them, and people make the animals seem like monsters, although we truly are the monsters.

I am most interested in researching the Climate Change Awareness Movement. I was attracted to this because it is a current problem happening right before our eyes. I also think it is something that not all people believe in, despite our green winter here and countless pieces of evidence that have been found by scientists.

For the first question, my answer is, I am most interested in researching environmental activists. That is because I am concerned about how much pollution and global warming is happening all around the world, and it is nice to know that some people are trying to make a change and speak up about it. For the second question, I said Greta Thunberg, because she is an environmental activist, and she was voted the person of the year when she was only 16, For number three, I said “When did Greta thunberg know she wanted to be an environmental activist?”. For the second part of number three, I said “Did anybody help Greta become noticed?”. And for the third question of number three, I said “Is there a way to stop global warming?”. Finally, for number four, I said “Paul Watson”, because he is also an environmental activist, and he seems like a good person to research.

1.The event I personally am most interested in learning about is the civil rights movement or the Hong Kong protests. This is because there was a lot of great activists during the civil rights movement that still inspire people today, as well that their legacies transpond with some buildings, museums or laws because of those activists.

The movement I am most interested in researching for my paper is the civil rights movement. I am most interested in this movement because I do have some background knowledge about this movement, but not enough to fully understand the whole movement. Just from the little bit of research I have done the past couple of days I have learned so much, that I never knew. The activist I am most interested in searching is Jackie Robinson. I am most interested in researching Jackie Robinson because his is involved heavily in the civil rights movement. Also, I really wanted to find an athlete involved in the civil rights movement. I really think that being an athlete activist bring a unique point of view to the topic. 3 questions I have about the civil rights movement is why did the white people at the time think it was necessary to divide the super small things like water fountains, why the black people didn’t speak up sooner, and were there any difference in pay based on your color. Some other activist I might research is Martin Luther King Jr.

The movements I am most interested in researching are civil rights and equal rights movements. I am most interested in this movement because I think that everyone should be equal no matter their race, their gender or religion. The activist I am most interested in researching is Jackie Robinson because his life was interesting both on and off the baseball field. Some questions I have about this activist is what are some other reasons people all over the world didn’t like Jackie Robinson being in the MLB except for being black? How old was Jackie Robinson when he started playing baseball? Why did the Brooklyn Dodgers owner ask Jackie to join his team? Another activist I might want to research is Ruby Bridges.

The movement that I am most interested in is disability awareness. I am most interested in this movement because I believe that everybody should be treated equally and that it is not fair if somebody gets made fun of for having a disability. I am most interested in researching Bill Gates because he is really smart and can do a lot of things to help the community with his money, and he does. I also think that he is not thought about enough for being an activist and that instead he is just rich. I want to figure out how Bill Gates became smart enough to solve Polio with just math, how he can create a toilet in Africa that converts waste to energy, and what inspired him to create his foundation to help causes. I would also like to research Jackie Robinson because he is the first African American MLB baseball player. Baseball is one of my favorite sports, so I want to learn more about him and what he did to achieve his goal.

The movement I'm interested in are black rights, and civil rights I'm interested in them because it's interesting how and why black people stood up to white people and believed in what they thought wanted. I'm most interested in ruby bridges because she wanted to go to a white school and people hated her and white people took their kids out of the schools because of her but she kept going and Accomplished her dream. What motivated ruby bridges to want to go to school when she knew white people wouldn't like it. Why did she want to go to an all white school. How did ruby bridges keep on going when white people hated her so much. How did ruby bridges go through everything she did with PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder). I'm also interested in jackie robinson because he wanted to be a professional baseball player and why he wanted to play outside of the negro league.

Why I am interested in this is if we don’t do anything about this then we will certainly facer major consequences which we are already seeing with so many wildfires, floods and any amount of natural disasters which have already ended countless lives.

A movement I am mostly interested in is women's right movement along with an environmental preservation movement because those are two things I am interested in and think could improve. An activist I am considering researching is Maria Montessori.Maria Montessori was the first female doctor in 1896 and opened her first school while taking care of disadvantaged kid. She was an activist for helping kids get an education and her work inspired many people. Questions I still have about Maria Montessori are was there something in her personal life that inspired her to open a school, was there people who had contributed to the process of helping kids, did people not believe that she could do it,and finally she was very fortunate growing up and choose to help or was there as personal struggle. Another activist I would be open to research is Margie Richard who is an advocate about air pollution coming from oil companies by speaking out to large crowds and trying to convince them to move in a less polluted area.
