"TED is a nonprofit devoted to spreading ideas, usually in the form of short, powerful talks (18 minutes or less). TED began in 1984 as a conference where Technology, Entertainment and Design converged, and today covers almost all topics — from science to business to global issues — in more than 100 languages."
For this week’s blog post, you’ll need to choose one (or more) of the TED talks that we’ve linked in this blog post about various types of activism and activists. You may want to turn on subtitles or refer to the transcript to be able to read these important words as you watch the video as well. Here are the possible TED talks for you to watch for this assignment:

After you’ve watched the TED talk, you’ll need to post the following response:
- Succinct summary of the TED Talk
- Why you chose to view the TED Talk over the others
- A connection (at least one) with your research topic for class; go beyond the fact that they both might be activists and discuss a deeper connection that you can make
- Did any social activist from the TED talks or your research inspire you to take action? Explain your answer.
