The Outsiders character I can most relate to is Ponyboy. There are many ways we are alike. First, Ponyboy and I both love to read books and watch movies. For us, both of these activities are an escape from the real world. We like to use our imagination to picture the story and make connections between literature and our own life, like how Ponyboy compares himself to Pip from Great Expectations. We both have even memorized the poem “Nothing Gold Can Stay” by Robert Frost and apply it to our own lives.

Personally the character which I most relate to is Ponyboy. Firstly, we both care about our academics as even though I currently look like I’m doing so good on grades it’s because I always come into school delirious from insomnia or because of an essay which I have yet to find time for and Pony always strives to get A’s in all his classes whether that’s from encouragement coming from Darry or trying to educate himself as much as he can with his current situation. Secondly, we like to keep a stream of either useless or useful information constantly flowing to our brain whether that be poems, books or online information like how the folklore of Greenland is absurdly odd or how human skeletal structures are by far the worst in the entirety of the animal kingdom or how the penny should be abolished or many examples which weren’t ever specified in The Outsiders. Thirdly and lastly we don’t look like what we are. Now this might be a bit hard for me to type out and for me to accept but I look like a hoodlum or a jock while I am an honest individual who would never break the law and focuses on work more than my well being and Ponyboy is the main character in a book which conveys the message of “never judge a book by it’s cover”.

Out of all the characters in The Outsiders by S.E Hinton, I think I'm most like Twobit. One reason I think this is because throughout the book Twobit is more nonchalant than others. I can definitely relate to that, taking life in stride whether I want to or not. I like this trait however, since most of my friend group gets easily embarrassed and I can just step right in since I have no shame.

I am most like Soda from The Outsiders. In the story, Soda is always happy and enjoys life. I relate to that because I try to be happy even through the hardest of times. Whenever I walk into school I feel my job is to make others happy and make them laugh even if it is Monday or I am going through a tough time. Soda enjoys life. I really do enjoy life and to be able to do the things I love. I am grateful for everyone around me and to be able to play golf and music. I enjoy waking up everyday just like Soda.

The character from the book The Outsiders that I can most relate to is Ponyboy. There are many ways we are alike. First, Ponyboy and I both care about how we do in school. We both feel like we could have a successful future with our academics. Ponyboy is smart enough to go to college. I feel like if I keep my grades high I will be able to go to a good college and get a good job just like what Ponyboy might be able to do. Ponyboy and I both want a successful future, and we both feel that going to college is the first step in doing so.

The Outsiders character I think I most relate to is Two-bit because I like to make jokes sometimes and we both have the same character trait which is nonchalant because I get bored or lazy and then it’s not a big deal to me when it could be like when Two-bit smart talks the cops and makes them laugh so we both don’t worry as much as other people. Another thing we have in commen is being calm in a situation like when I get in trouble I stand there which Two-bit would probably do to nonchalanty. Also we sometimes mean to do things on purpose just when two-bit gets into fights on purpose and I annoy my brother or bug my mom for something. So that is why I think me and two-bit can relate the most to being alike how about you and your Outsiders character thank you.

I feel like Johnny the most. He is a shy, scared guy who couldn’t do anything wrong (minus killing Bob, of course). He has long, shaggy bangs and dark, puppy eyes, and you can easily tell by looking at them there are many tears bottled up in them. I feel like him because I am pretty shy, and I am afraid to talk to a lot of people. I am shy at first, and not usually if I get to know someone real well. Johnny is lucky to have the gang, because without my friends I would not be as peppy as I usually am. I have dark-ish eyes, chocolate brown really. When my hair is in a low ponytail (it usually is),I have thin little bangs poking around my face. So I feel I’m like him more physically than emotionally. Sometimes I can feel like him emotionally, but not usually. And that is why I feel more like Johnny than the rest of the gang.

I think relate to Sodapop the most. The first reason is that when he was in the hospital with Pony and Darry and he was getting hyped up by the cameraman and reporter. I would of done the same thing if I was there with them. I would of got riled up if I was getting interviewed.

Out of all of the main characters I mostly relate to Sodapop. I am always really relaxed I always try to lighten the mood if someone or people are mad or sad. I'm basically a twelve year old soda (Now that i said that… it sounds gross). I also mostly relate to him because I also have a special animal that was taken away from me. When I was eight years old I had a little puppy named piper, and I absolutely LOVED her I used to carry her in my arms and used to give her baths… it was fun. Whenever we got home she would run up to us while we were still in our car! But one day, she wasn't there she didnt come run to us she didn't even bark she just wasn't there. There was no sign of her anywhere at all and someone tried taking here before but we stopped them so we think it was them to this day. Anyways, that is why I mostly relate to Sodapop.

The Outsider’s character that I can most relate to is Sodapop. There are a lot of ways that we are alike. One way is that we both try to look on the bright side, even if the situation is horrible. For us, being constantly happy helps terminate arguments in our households and at school. We hate it when people fight, and that’s why we are always looking for the good instead of the bad. To prevent bad things from happening around us. To lock out the bad and keep it unable to get in, but we aren’t robots. We still have feelings, like when Soda told Darry and Ponyboy how he hated it when they fought.

Personally, I think I most relate to Two-Bit. This is because of my witty sense of humor and sarcasm. I’m always able to make friends laugh during sad times or just casually, just like when Two-Bit was able to make Pony laugh when he came home after the fire and the murder. That was a tragic time for Pony when Johnny and Dally were injured. Even during those sad events Two-Bit was still able to make Pony snicker. Another example of our similarities is Two-Bits extreme amount of facial hair compared to the rest of the gang. I too have more facial hair than my friends at this age. Finally our last similarity is that we both like to have treats for breakfast, Two-Bits preferred breakfast is chocolate cake, granted I don’t like chocolate but i do have treats similar to cake for breakfast and unusual times of day. Overall, I think this is why I think I relate to Two-Bit the most.

The Outsiders character I can most relate to is Ponyboy. There are many ways we are alike. First, Ponyboy and I both care about how we do in school. When he found that he was doing poorly in one of his classes after he missed school, he immediately asked what he could do to make up work and get his grades higher. When I was out sick for a couple of days I asked all my teachers what I needed to make up. Whenever I don’t feel that I did very well on an assignment, I want to know what I did wrong for the next time or how I can raise my grade.

The Outsiders character I am most like is Darry. Darry often seems worried and concerned about the safety of his family. I do the same. When we’re in the car and the gas is running low, I make my parents pull over to a gas station and refill their tank. When anyone in my family goes to the doctor, I’m the person that waits by the door and asks them if they’re okay right after their appointment.

The character from The Outsiders that I can relate to the most is Sodapop. We share may similarities. One example of how we are alike is that Soda and I are always in kind of a happy-go-lucky mood. We both have personalities that are bubbly and both love to keep a grin on our face. We also both like to spread that mood between people that we love and care for and people that are around us. Sodapop and I are similar because we both have a happy-go-lucky mood that we love and like to spread to the people around us.

I feel I most relate to Ponyboy. I absolutely LOVE to read. I’ve read some Charles Dickens books, like Ponyboy, but also whatever I find. For example, Ponyboy read one of Darry’s books that he didn’t understand, and he was told not to read it; I read The Catcher in the Rye, by J.D. Salinger, after my dad told me not to, and didn’t really grasp the deeper meaning (yet). When I finish a book and there’s nothing left in the house to read, I don’t know what to do. I have boxes of books that I’ve finished, some of them finished two times, sitting under my bed.

The character I think that I relate to the most in The Outsiders is Ponyboy because I like to read books and be alone. I like to be alone because I like to get things done on my own and not ask for help. I am very observant like Ponyboy I pay attention to the little things in life. Like Ponyboy I have a great family that supports me no matter what and they care about my grades. Ponboy lost his friends. I have also dealt with losing a family member that I really cared about. Ponyboy also doesn’t really do anything bad besides running away. I don’t like to do bad things or get in trouble. Ponyboy is sometime like me because he doesn't think about what could go wrong. I think the reason why Ponyboy is like me is because he doesn't do bad things like Dally and Steve. He also doesn’t make smart jokes like Two-Bit. So I think that I am mostly like Ponyboy.

If I were any outsiders character from the realistic fiction novel The Outsiders, I would probably be Ponyboy. Both Ponyboy and I are the youngest in the family. Our older relatives/siblings want more pontiental from, they want us to be better than them, and they want us to succeed. Darry want Ponyboy to succeed and have a better life. Same goes with my relatives and parents/ Another reason I would be Ponyboy is because we are both very imaginative and read a lot. Sometimes I don’t think with my brain just like Ponyboy. Ponyboy goes to the hospital after the fire happened at the church, have been very sick like Ponyboy, although I never had a concussion. I play track, too. Ponyboy is a runner for his school and he claims he is very fast. I have ran track since second grade. I am more of a sprinter than anything. Ponyboy and I have similar character traits. Overall, if I were to be an outsider character, it would be Ponyboy.

Overall I can use themes from books and movies to help me succeed in life.

If I were to choose a character in The Outsiders that I was most like I would choose Ponyboy. Me and Pony have a lot in common. First off, we are both more book smart than street smart. If we have a test coming up or something important in school, we usually do very well. But if we have to do something that causes us to use street smarts we usually come to a blank. In the book Ponyboy went to a movie alone and he had to walk home at night all alone because he didn't tell anyone he was going. This was not very smart on his part because later on as he was walking he got jumped by the socs. If he had told someone where he was going, they would have went with him and would have been safe.

The character I can relate to the most in The Outsiders is Cherry Valance. I can relate to Cherry Valance the most because she is a girl in a world of Socs that doesn't exactly belong. She is always thinking in a very philosophical way about life. Cherry believes that even though everyone thinks the Socs have all the advantages and never have problems, she thinks “It’s rough all over”. I believe that every single person is dealing with something the world doesn’t know. We just think that they have no problems. If we maybe just stopped to think this we could truly understand each other’s feelings.

A character from The Outsiders that I relate to the most is probably Ponyboy. I relate to Ponyboy the most because I like reading books that I’m into. I also have a pretty big imagination. I also have an older brother and he is mean to me and I usually don’t think he loves me but I know that he does. I like going to the movies with my friends and having a good time. Just like how Ponyboy enjoys going to the movies either alone or with some of his gang.

The character in The Outsiders that I believe I am most alike is Sodapop. Sodapop always has a smile on his face, and wants the people around him to have one too. He is very outgoing and funny, but he tries to understand how other people feel. When he doesn't feel like his happy, peppy self, he tries to hold it in, because he doesn’t want to show people that he is upset. Eventually, he learns that it is better to show everyone around you that you are upset, instead of always trying to keep peace. I am usually a very happy and optimistic person, who loves life and everything about it. When I am feeling upset, or mad, I try to hold it in because I don’t like to see my family upset, even though they always understand me and make me feel better when I talk to them about what is bothering me.

I think I am most like Ponyboy because I'm smart but don't like to take credit for things. Before I got to high school I'm going to move away to baldwinsville and I will never see some of my friends again I think this is how Pony feels about Johnny and Dally's deaths.

The Outsiders character I can relate most to is Two-Bit. A reason why I can relate most to Two-Bit is because we have similar personalities. Just like Two-Bit I can bring a laugh, smile, and joy to others. In the book Two-Bit is described as a wise-cracker. I am often called a wisecracker at home, mostly in a good way. If you were to ask the gang who is the funniest in the group they would say Two-Bit. In my amazing friend I am the one to make you laugh. As I said in the first blog post, a character trait that I think stands out the most is humor. It is clear that Two-Bit has this trait.

I feel like I am most like Two-Bit from The Outsiders. There are many ways we are alike. First, Two-Bit loves to tell jokes or be funny. We like to do this because it makes you and other people smile. Two-Bit always knows how to make people laugh, like when Ponyboy was upset in the kitchen making breakfast and still smiled at Two-Bit’s joke. I like to laugh and have fun by telling jokes just like he does.

The Outsiders character I feel the most like is Sodapop. I feel I am most like Sodapop because me and him are very outgoing but when something is going on with us we try to make it seem like nothing is going on, until we can’t take it anymore and then we break. Sodapop when he found out that Sandy was pregnant and it wasn’t his baby he kept his pain inside, and how he felt stuck in the middle of Darry and Pony’s fights. Then he couldn’t take it anymore so he ran out of the house and started telling every little thing to Pony and Darry about what was bothering him, and it was all that he could take and he just couldn’t hold it in anymore. I feel the same way when something is bothering me I keep it to myself and when there's so many things that are bothering me I can’t take it anymore. I break and I let all my feelings out and it hurts just like how Sodapop was. Also, Sodapop when Pony came back from being in the hospital and waking up for the first time, he was being really rough and excited and Darry had to hold him back. I can relate because when something exciting happens, I sometimes get overly excited. That is how I relate to Sodapop.

I am most like the character because soda is very nonchalant, when ever my mom asks me to do something like chores or to get off my phone I don't answer and keep on going or say okay I'll do it in a little bit. I really don't see the point of cleaning if it will just get dirty again why waste your time on something you don't want to do.

An Outsiders character I can relate to the most is Johnny. For example, Johnny’s very quiet with people he doesn’t really know, but with his friends, he can talk a lot. Like when he’s with Ponyboy, he talks a lot more than he would if he was with Dally, Two Bit or anyone else. He also has a big heart, and anyone who knows him can see it. Johnny is always there for his friends when they need him, and he’s always putting their needs in front of his. He gave up his life for others even though he could have just let them burn to death. He constantly listens to his friend’s problems, and his friends all find him easy to talk to. For me, I think it’s mostly the same. I always listen to my friends’ problems and try to help them out, most of the time forgetting my own. Another reason is that Johnny could never hurt anyone intentionally physically or emotionally unless it’s for a really good reason. Like when Bob was going to kill him, and the other socs were drowning Ponyboy. At that time, he was in a life or death situation. I would say the same for myself because I wouldn’t have the heart or the guts to say something or to physically hurt someone, except if I had to and I didn’t have any other choice. Even if you can’t see it, Johnny is a very brave and persevering person. He overcomes hardships and pushes on even though he has awful parents that don’t care about him and treat him horribly, he acts like he doesn’t care and tries to stay positive. I can relate to that because even if I have a tough day, or something bad happened, I still try to put a smile on my face and not show it. Overall, I think I am most like Johnny.

I feel like the character I have most in common with is Darry. We have many things we have in common, like him older brother I know how it feels to try to protect your younger siblings and they do not listen or to tell something and they do the opposite of what you say. I character trait that me and him share is we are both hard on the inside and soft on the outside. Like him when I am around my younger siblings I act super tough but when I am around other people i am not as tough. Also I am very defensive when it comes to my brothers just like Darry is in the book, he doesn't want anyone to mess with any of his brothers. Darry always want the best for his brothers futures and loves them, just like me, when it comes to my brother i want them to have more than I will.
